It has been an incredible year for the Etch Group and to top it off, we are ecstatic to announce that we have ranked 44th out of 100 in the The Drum Independent Census UK.

It has been an incredible year for the Etch Group and to end the year with a bang, we are ecstatic to announce that we have ranked 44th out of 100 in The Drum Independent Census UK. We were also listed 5th in profit growth and 13th in turnover growth in the 26-50 UK staff category.

We have done some amazing work this year and have been lucky to work with some incredible clients including Quilter, The Pig Hotel, Atta, ACU and Equiniti. We pride ourselves on taking a people centred approach to all the projects we deliver, and believe true innovation takes place when you are able to free the talents of individuals. This ranking is evidence of the incredible work that Etch have delivered with our clients, and we are very proud to have ranked so highly on entering the census for the first time.

The census recognises the best run independent agencies in the UK and it’s the first time Etch have been featured in the census. Now as part of an independently owned group of agencies, we are evolving into a new breed, hybrid agency model.

We are also thrilled that Big Radical has also made its first appearance since being acquired by the Etch Group last year. Featuring 5th on recent turnover and 35th overall in the 1- 25 UK staff category.

Conducted with The Drum Recommends platform the census provides an analysis of the top performers and general trends across the independent agency landscape. Agencies are ranked against those of a similar staff size in order to provide valuable comparisons – with media agencies ranked in a section of their own.

Tom Frame, Group MD commented “I am incredibly proud that Etch have ranked so highly in this year’s census. It’s a true testament to the hard work that the team has put in over the past few years. We are growing at a rapid pace and looking to drive change that challenges the traditional agency model and drives more value back to our clients. This report shows we are clearly on the right track.”
