Etch Named One of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2025
Culture
We are excited to announce that Etch has been accredited as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2025! This prestigious recognition is a testament to our commitment to creating a positive, supportive and empowering workplace for our team - defining better ways to work, live and play.
What is The Sunday Times Best Places to Work?
The Sunday Times Best Places to Work, powered by WorkL, is a nationwide survey that celebrates the UK’s top employers across various industries and scales. It recognises organisations that go above and beyond to support their people, fostering purpose, belonging, and wellbeing for all employees, regardless of gender, age, background, or identity. It’s not just about perks; it’s about purpose and belonging.
Why Etch?
Etch exists to help our people, clients, and partners go further, faster. Accelerating the progression of everyone and fulfilling undiscovered potential is our reason for being. It’s what gets us up out of bed in the morning, and it’s what keeps us going day in, day out.
We do this through a combination of radical management principles and a constant drive to challenge unnecessary constraints. Our culture is shaped by four core values that guide how we work, live, and play:
- Liberated – We strive to discover and evolve ever better systems of working together. We aim to free ourselves and others from unnecessary constraints and adopt working patterns that help people, organisations and the planet prosper.
- Selfless – We do what's best for all, not just the individual. We are concerned more with the needs and wishes of others than with ourselves. We are respectful and empathise with one another.
- Audacious – We show a willingness to fail forwards. We have the courage to show vulnerability. We are confident having the difficult conversations in order to get the right outcome for all.
- Restless – We support change for the better, striving to help our clients go further faster and empowering our team members to reach their personal goals.
These values aren’t just words, they’re the foundation of how we operate and the reason we’ve been recognised as one of the UK’s best places to work
How does the survey work?
The Sunday Times partnered with the employee-experience platform WorkL to deliver fresh insights into what makes a Best Place to Work. The awards use 26 questions from WorkL’s employee engagement survey, developed by behavioural scientists, data analysts, psychologists, business leaders, academics, and other independent parties to most accurately monitor employee engagement, wellbeing, and discretionary effort in the workplace.
To achieve a high overall engagement score, an organisation must score well across WorkL’s six-step framework:
- Reward and Recognition
- Instilling Pride
- Information Sharing
- Empowerment
- Wellbeing
- Job Satisfaction
