Our design psychologist, Paul, will speak at one of the UK’s leading retail finance conferences, Platforum 2016, next week (October 11).
Platforum 2016 is the 10th edition of Platforum’s highly-regarded and successful annual conferences. The event will give advisers, platforms, fund managers and life and pension providers the chance to meet, discuss trends, share views and help to shape the future direction of the retail investment industry.
This year’s event is set to focus on the ‘customer’ and will challenge the industry to put the customer at the heart of retail investing.
Paul’s talk will explore how people make financial decisions – both on and offline. Digital is still a relatively new medium and open to all the same mistakes that offline products face. It is the change in focus about the cognitive bias and ‘irrational’ decision-making processes which will, as is the case with some new fintechs, create future financial success stories.
Paul will join over a 30 other industry expert speakers who will share their insights on topics such as developing customer-centric propositions, digital advice to maximise client engagement and how advisory practices are evolving, throughout the jam-packed day.
