The Play Team (plus special guest Amy Grinstead) share the latest news.

Hello everyone. This week has flown by, possibly because we all spent too much time tweeting about Coleen Rooney. Alas, there's videogames to be played and work to be done, so here's what we squeezed in.

The PS5 has been (partially) revealed! Which means I really need to get around to playing all the PS4 games I've got in my queue. Maybe starting with Destiny 2, which recently went free to play and got a shiny new update.

Been playing a lot of OSRS this week! I've also been watching a lot of Sebastian Lague's videos on YouTube, which inspired me to get back into Unity stuff, so I grabbed a Unity Learn subscription and have been working through some courses.

Alongside the PS5 announcement news, a patent has been uncovered which implies that the PlayStation VR 2 will be wireless, boasting built-in cameras and a transparent mode. Neat! I've also been excited by the announcement of Rocket League's Halloween event, which this year is in partnership with Stranger Things.

Hi! I don't usually participate in the roundup posts but I just wanted to say: I don't have Planet Zoo yet but I'm incredibly excited for it. That is all.

For the first time in the 25 years of PlayStation, as of this week, I finally own a Sony console. I've been getting my teeth into Spider-Man, and am looking forwards to playing our client's recent titles Man of Medan from Supermassive Games, Blood & Truth on PSVR from Playstation London Studio and I'll also be checking out No Man's Sky in VR.

Away from gaming, because occasionally we have to do real work, we've been working on upgrading our custom Orchard Core templates/modules to the recently released Orchard Core RC1 - ensuring our clients get the latest and greatest features! Just one of many ways we like to go the extra mile.

This week I've been enjoying the new relationship between Humble Bundle and EA by picking up Star Wars Battlefront 2 for a very low price. I've been enjoying running around blasting storm troopers, rebels and droids and being terrible at the hero classes. I also picked up the Humble Monthly to play the remastered versions of Crash Bandicoot and Spyro with my wife.

I forgot to do anything interesting this week but I did want to share KFC's dating simulator. This kind of branding exercise isn't entirely new, but it's nice to see a large corporation playing ball with a fairly niche, zany portion of our industry.

And that's all for now, folks! See you next time.
