Marketing Manager 

A fantastic opportunity awaits a proactive and solution-focused Marketing Manager to lead and deliver Etch’s own marketing initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with a consultancy or service-based SME background, who thrives on autonomy, demonstrates strong project management and administrative capabilities, and is passionate about building a brand through insight-led, high-impact marketing.

You will be responsible for shaping and executing a marketing strategy that positions Etch as a thought leader in its space, supports commercial growth, and builds long-term brand equity. Working closely with the leadership and commercial teams, you will drive visibility and engagement through a blend of strategic content, strategic brand and audience engagement channels, and targeted campaigns.


  • Part-Time, 3 Days/Week
  • Hybrid - Southampton & Remote
  • Salary - £45-£55k pro-rata

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and own the marketing strategy for Etch, aligned with business and commercial objectives.
  • Plan and deliver integrated campaigns across strategic channels including digital, social, events, podcasts, and partnerships.
  • Lead the creation of high-quality, insight-driven content that supports thought leadership, demand generation, and brand positioning.
  • Manage and optimise the website, CRM, and marketing automation tools to support lead nurturing and conversion.
  • Identify and coordinate opportunities for brand exposure through events, speaking engagements, and industry collaborations.
  • Track and report on marketing performance, using data to inform decisions and demonstrate ROI.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and external suppliers where required.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure marketing aligns with service offerings, client needs, and business priorities.

Person Specification

  • 7+ years’ experience in a similar marketing role within a boutique consultancy or service-based SME.

  • Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of marketing strategy and execution.

  • Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to translate insight into action.

  • Excellent project management and organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail.

  • Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
    Experience delivering content-led marketing across channels such as LinkedIn, email, podcasts, events, and partnerships.

  • Commercially astute, with a clear understanding of how marketing supports business growth.

  • A proactive, curious mindset and a passion for storytelling and brand building.

  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Comfortable embracing AI tools and technologies to streamline processes, enhance productivity, and support innovation.

  • Have a sense of ownership and responsibility for deliverable

  • A positive, entrepreneurial attitude and approach

  • Not afraid to get involved where needed.
